So what are your, like, safer sex practices... and why?

In porn there's not many chances I get. I'm fluid-bonded with my partners and we test regularly.

Um, if I'm filming, it's once every two weeks and before and after shoots, I check if it's just with partners that I trust it's at least once every three months and with every medical checkup as well, even if there's overlap.

So, why do you keep doing porn?

It's that, for me it's been kind of a deepening narrative. There's not a lot of Black trans performers doing what I do.

And like, when I was starting transitioning, pre-transition, like, there weren't that many faces that looked like me, exactly. The image of the of trans people is kind of shaped by porn, for better or worse.

And like, they can kind of have, like some self-image issues that stem from a lot of Black trans girls that's why there's so much separation. So I wanted to have someone that looked like me that was visible.

Mm hmm.

And it is really fun. Like the first time, there was a little bit of ego there. It was like, I want to see if I'm hot enough. I want to see if I can do it. And now I just do it because I want to. And also because I want that to be out there.

Okay, and you! Why'd you get into porn?

Well, I was an exhibitionist on the internet and I tripped and kept tripping and I fell directly into making this my main job. And it turns out this is like one of the few things in my life that I've done that I'm like, "Oh, I'm really good at this!" Like the filming, the marketing, the behind the scenes, everything. I am pretty good at.

So what was your favorite thing about quarantine?

I honestly didn't have many favorite things about quarantine. I got into porn like August 2019. Oh, no, no. May 2019 and my first scene came out in August of 2019. And Florida, being kind of slow about everything. Like I was actually at a, um, at a swingers club like March 2020.

And I saw the news. I was like, "Oh..." is this my sepia tone fade out where, like, you see my face and just like, oh, then you see the little obituary of what happened to me afterwards. But it felt like I had to kind of put everything, absolutely everything on hold although I got more rest than I ever got in civilian life, porn life, everything else.

Before it started in March 2020, I was a sad guy working as a janitor. And then a week after quarantine started, I went, You know what? Can't make my life worse. And it's been three years. And...
